Transax is on the hunt for a software developer who's ready to dive into the digital trenches with a stack that's as cool as it gets: PHP, Laravel, Vue, and AWS. What's Transax, you ask? We're the digital alchemists turning the lead of today's tech challenges into the gold of tomorrow's solutions. Our team is remote-first, meaning we're scattered across the globe like stars in the night sky, connected by our passion for innovation and an internet connection that doesn't quit.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
PHP Mastery: You've ridden the elephant (PHP's mascot, get it?) and lived to tell the tale. You know PHP like the back of your hand.
Laravel Lore: You weave Laravel magic so potent it could turn a simple webpage into a web experience.
Vue Vision: With Vue.js, you craft UIs so seamless they make users weep tears of joy.
AWS Adventurer: You navigate the vast landscapes of AWS like it's your backyard, deploying and scaling with the grace of a cloud-born eagle.
A Hip Vibe: You're not just about the code; you're about the culture. You're ready to bring your unique vibe to a team that values diversity, creativity, and a touch of quirkiness.
Why You'll Love Working at Transax:
Flexibility: Work from anywhere. We mean it. As long as you've got Wi-Fi and can align a bit with the team's timezone needs, you're golden.
Culture: We're as much about creating a supportive and inspiring work environment as we are about developing top-notch tech.
Innovation: Regular hackathons, team meet-ups (both virtual and IRL), and a budget for learning materials so you can keep your skills as sharp as a tack.
Perks: Competitive salary, unlimited vacation policy (really!), and hardware/software support to set up your home office.
How to Apply: Hit us up with your resume, a link to your GitHub (or other repositories of your code magic), and a short blurb about the coolest project you've worked on. Bonus points if you include a meme or GIF that best represents your developer journey!
Ready to make the digital world a better place, one line of code at a time? Apply now and let's chat!

Medusa is a commerce platform with a built-in framework for customization. We built Medusa after learning that all commerce companies always need some level of customization โ even if they try to avoid it. Existing solutions force you to do hacky workarounds.
We are offering a better way.
Medusa has become the most popular open-source commerce project in under three years. Ahead of us is an enormous opportunity to build the platform that will power all digital commerce applications โ existing and new. We are looking for great minds prepared to go the distance to build a once-in-a-generation company.
About Medusa
Medusa had its first commit in 2020, raised the first round of capital in 2021, and became the largest open-source commerce project on GitHub in 2022. Today, Medusa counts a 10k developer community, has crossed +1M npm downloads, and has raised $9M in funding. Yet, we are only just getting started.
For the past few years, the team has been fully focused on developing an open-source platform with modules for core commerce logic such as carts, customers, products, and order management. In combination with our framework for customization, we allow commerce companies of all sizes to build scalable and robust applications with custom business logic living natively in their stack.
Our tools have been adopted by thousands of developers at companies ranging from the world's largest enterprises to fast-growing startups across +40 countries.
The next big product leap is a cloud platform, bringing an unprecedented developer experience and native customization capabilities to commerce companies on hosted infrastructure.
Building Medusa Cloud
All commerce companies need some level of customization. Our open-source product and modular architecture provide the foundation to support this. We have proven this. However, companies using Medusa currently need to manage their own infrastructure. This is a burden and requires dedicated resources to build and maintain.
We want to develop a cloud platform that sits on top of our open-source product, providing them with managed scalable infrastructure without compromising their customization capabilities. Working directly with our founding team, you will help shape how we structure some of the core parts of this new product domain and own implementation of these parts end-to-end.
Examples of what you could work on
A platform application with business logic related to accounts, projects, and environments
A workflow engine to orchestrate actions spanning multiple - possibly distributed - services
A bundler to create highly optimized bundles for serverless environments
A search engine to read, filter, and sort data living in distributed data stores
A product module that includes all business logic related to product information
Who you are
You enjoy solving highly complex problems
You have extensive backend engineering experience
You want to accomplish the seemingly impossible
You like to work hard
You despise a bad developer experience
You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Working at Medusa
We are a small team of 16 people, and we move fast.
In your role, you will explore a new, exciting product area of Medusa and work closely with our founding team to shape it. This means you need to be comfortable under uncertainty and be ready to take up a lot of responsibility from day one.
What you get
Opportunity to build a generational company
Highly passionate and gifted co-workers
Incredibly complex problems to solve
Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
Generous options package - in the best 10% among peers
Autonomous work
Health coverage in the US
What we value
Hard work
We are tackling the problems that no one else in our space has dared to. At Medusa, youโll work hard to solve some of the most complex challenges in engineering.
Great work
We build exceptional tools so other companies can build exceptional products. Everyone in our organization is passionate about our mission and eager to deliver their best work.
Collaborative work
We help our colleagues succeed. Give candid feedback. Tell them what they did right and what they can do better. Only this way can we improve.

Our companies include Calibrate, Lively, Vault Health and Jasper. Weโre capitalized with permanent capital from world-class institutional investors and entrepreneurs.\n\nAt Redesign Health, weโve unlocked healthcare innovation at scale, and a key aspect of progress toward our mission of redesigning health for everyone is understanding the impact the companies we create have on the healthcare industry and the people who use it. \n\nThat means that as an organization weโre focused on specific areas of impact within healthcare. Those are: increasing access to care, increasing the quality of care provided, removing cost from the healthcare system and improving healthcare equity. \n\nThese four pillars shape everything we do, and every company idea that receives funding at Redesign Health must demonstrate that it has the potential to improve one or more of the above criteria without negatively impacting any of the others. \n\nSounder Benefits was created with the aim to remove cost from the healthcare system. SMBs and employees are facing a fully-insured health insurance crisis. We very much believe this commitment to improving cost of healthcare is critical to the long-term success of the company. \n\nAbout The Job \n\n\n\nAbout Redesign\n\nRedesign Health is a healthcare innovation platform. We bring together entrepreneurs, industry experts, and investors to launch companies that transform the healthcare system and empower people to live their healthiest lives. Our companies include Calibrate, Lively, Vault Health and Jasper. Weโre capitalized with permanent capital from world-class institutional investors and entrepreneurs.\nAt Redesign Health, weโve unlocked healthcare innovation at scale, and a key aspect of progress toward our mission of redesigning health for everyone is understanding the impact the companies we create have on the healthcare industry and the people who use it. \nThat means that, as an organization, weโre focused on specific areas of impact within healthcare. Those are: increasing access to care, increasing the quality of care provided, removing cost from the healthcare system and improving healthcare equity. \nThese four pillars shape everything we do, and every company idea that receives funding at Redesign Health must demonstrate that it has the potential to improve one or more of the above criteria without negatively impacting any of the others. \nSumo was created with the aim to remove cost from the healthcare system. SMBs and employees are facing a fully-insured health insurance crisis. In response to rising healthcare costs, SMBs are participating in more cost-sharing with employees increasing their cost and impacting access to care. Sumo is an innovative data-driven solution for SMBs to move to self-funded options and realize significant savings. We very much believe this commitment to improving cost of healthcare is critical to the long-term success of the company. \n\nAbout The Opportunity \n\nAs Venture Chair of Sounder Benefits, you will support the CEO and Redesign on the mission to launch a new business focused on building an innovative tech and services platform that is deliberately designed to help small and medium sized businesses easily transition to self-funding, driving cost savings and more tailored employee benefits. \n\nSmall to medium size businesses (SMBs) are facing a rising healthcare cost crisis driven by a system of carriers and brokers that is incentivized to keep SMBs in expensive and generic fully-insured (FI) plan options (increasing 10%+ YoY). Where Fortune 500 companies have access to negotiating power, emerging technology, and high-quality / expensive benefits consultants, SMBs are ill-equipped to fight-back today. This is causing SMBs, now more than ever, to explore alternative benefits options to FI, evidenced in part by the massive spike in level-funded plan adoption over the last 12-24 months.\n\nSounder Benefits plans to upend this cycle and give power back to SMBs by placing them on a path to self-funding. Our differentiated tech and services platform provides purpose built services to our SMB clients: (i) benefits consulting, (ii) data and analytics / AI capabilities, and (iii) additional benefits products (e.g., launching a group captive that helps SMBs pool risk and negotiate better contracts under our tech and services platform). \n\nOur offering is significantly differentiated from traditional brokers with better incentives, more innovative tech, and new product offerings overtime, ultimately driving more savings for SMBs (potentially as much as 20%+ YoY). \n\nWhat youโll do:\n\n\n* Mentor and coach the CEO with a focus on commercialization and product strategy, fundraising preparation and execution, and / or operational design and execution.\n\n* Introduce CEOs to prospective partners, investors, customers, vendors etc. by leveraging their own professional networks.\n\n* If company is pre-CEO: Actively participate in all aspects of CEO hiring; including advising on target profiles, providing referrals, and serving as an interview panelist in close partnership with Redesign Healthโs CEO Talent team.\n\n* Provide talent referrals and participate in interviewing prospective founding team candidates.\n\n* Vote on material business decisions reserved for the Board (e.g., stock option grants, debt incurrence, equity financing, M&A).\n\n* Collaborate with other board members and the CEO during Board meetings to discuss key strategic decisions (e.g., M&A, strategic pivots, GTM approach, pricing design).\n\n* Participate in KPI reviews to ensure the company is on track to achieving milestones.\n\n* Review business development activities and sales pipeline/pitches. While also providing oversight and tactical insights throughout the sales journey and process.\n\n* Partner with Redesign Health to ensure alignment with strategy and direction of the company.\n\n* Act as a steward of the Redesign Health business model with a clear understanding of the value proposition.\n\n* Complete all required Redesign Health disclosure documents and training for OpCo Directors.\n\n* Collaborate with RH Director and RH's CEO Talent Team to provide relevant input on CEO performance, ensuring effective leadership alignment and company growth objectives.\n\n* Represent the OpCo in relevant industry events and forums, enhancing visibility and reputation in the healthcare community.\n\n* Time commitment: The dedicated time commitment will vary weekly depending on the stage of the companyโs lifecycle. The average hourly expectation is two hours per week. In addition, the Venture Chair will be expected to attend quarterly official Board meetings in additional regular monthly Board check-ins.\n\n\n\n\nWhat youโll need:\n\n\n* Significant experience holding executive leadership positions (e.g. CEO, President, Chief Commercial Officer, General Manager) at an organization relevant to the Operating Company.\n\n* Deep knowledge and understanding of the OpCoโs target market and customers.\n\n* Demonstrated success with go-to-market / commercialization, fundraising, and driving businesses to successful exits.\n\n* A track record of advising for and / or investing in successful early-stage healthcare organizations. Prior Board experience is strongly preferred.\n\n* A robust BD network that is relevant to the OpCo, with an ability to unlock market and / or partnership opportunities.\n\n* Strong relationships with investors and the ability to help with external fundraising efforts.\n\n* Clear, direct and effective communication style with prior experience coaching and mentoring executives.\n\n* Highly reliable and accountable, with the ability to participate in regular Board meetings and be available on an ad-hoc basis as necessary (in accordance with appropriate time commitment expectations).\n\n\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
